WSOP Satellites
The World Series of Poker is an annual event that whittles down the best of the best in a number of poker game variants to reveal a series of discipline champions and one overall Main Event winner in No limit Hold ‘Em. The great thing about the WSOP is that an unknown player has as much chance of winning the highly coveted gold bracelet as a seasoned poker pro does. Often the only restricting factor can be the significant buy-in amounts at $10,000 a pop for the Main Event. Fortunately, online poker rooms are on the mass public’s side and now offer more WSOP satellite events and packages than ever before.
Poker Room WSOP Satellites
There are number of online poker rooms on the internet offering their players a chance to qualify in the 2010 World Series of Poker for pocket change instead of paying the $10,000 buy-in required for the Main Event games. Most satellite rooms can pay for your flights, accommodation and money for spending in the tournament. PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, PartyPoker, Betfair Poker, Pacific Poker/ 888Poker and Winner.com Poker are just a few of the known online poker rooms holding satellites.
PokerStars
PokerStars is always one of the hottest sites for WSOP qualifiers. This year there are three routes to winning their WSOP package worth about $12,000, plus extra bonuses of a 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) or North American Poker Tour (NAPT) prize package for anyone cashing in in the Main Event, along with 50,000 VIP Player Points, an invitation to the PokerStars Players Party and a Main Event Champion Bonus of $1m split between cash and tournament credit for live or online events. Pretty generous. You can qualify by playing in their Cash Satellites at a range of buy-ins suiting players at every level, using your Frequent Player Points (FPP) in their FPP Satellites or by entering their Steps Satellites. Steps Satellites require you to progress up the Steps ladder by winning a ticket to each Step game. You can buy in to any Steps level in the first instance.
Full Tilt Poker
Full Tilt are offering a variety of 2010 World Series of Poker qualifier tournaments with a range of buy-ins to suit all players, from their $1 Main Event Seat tournaments to their massive 150 Seat Main Event Guarantee. Bet365
Bet365 are offering their players the chance to qualify for the Main Event, the Pot Limit Omaha Championship event or Side Events Package depending on your preference. The Main Event package is worth $13,000 including the $10,000 buy in plus $3,000 for accommodation, travel and spending. To win this package you can either play in their $500+$35 Freezeout Super Satellite on Sundays or their $200+$15 Rebuy Super Satellites on Wednesdays. Both Satellites start at 21.00 GMT.
Bodog
Bodog is offering a $12,000 WSOP package for as little as a $1 buy-in satellite. Bodog has less activity than Pokerstars, which means that it is a good thing when it comes to satellites because there will be less players to go against. In this situation, there is a greater chance in qualifying for the 2010 WSOP Tournament.
